Mobile app delivery and go-live in the final PIs of a SAFe program

The situation

A large citizen-services agency’s mobile app program was in the final program increments of a large SAFe delivery, with a mobile app that had to reach the public. The last stretch of a government program of this size is where readiness, dependencies and assurance all come due at once, in front of an audience that includes millions of citizens and the people accountable for the service.

Our approach

• Took delivery leadership through the closing program increments, holding the line between agile delivery cadence and the stage-gated readiness the go-live required.
• Ran release readiness as evidence rather than optimism: dependencies mapped, risks owned and reviewed, and a go/no-go a delegate could actually sign.
• Coordinated the mobile app delivery to a public release, with the operational and support posture ready before launch, not after.
